I occasionally have puppies that I bought or kept hoping they would make good breeding or competition animals who turn out to be short of that quality. I also re-home any dog I bred that, for whatever reason, loses it's home. In addition I occasionally keep dogs of other breeders who are going through rescue and need a safe house until a foster or forever home can be arranged. So it is not unusual for me to have dogs available for adoption to good homes. Please contact me if this is your interest to get the full story on whatever I may have available. Right now I have two males. One is a bit over two years of age named Sailor. Sailor is a large lanky brown dog, very rambunctious. He's reserved with strangers but very affectionate with folks he knows. He's an avid retriever on water. His land focus is not strong however. He does well crated or kenneled and knows some basic commands. I think he might be a super waterfowl dog for the right person. Because of his size and energy level I do not see him in a home with small children. And because he has always been a rural dog i think that would be the easiest home for him to adjust to happily. The other male is about 5 years old. He knows basic obedience and is good kenneled or crated. He is a good watch dog with the potential to hunt. A small dog but very strong and energetic. He might be too much for small children . I also have two Labrador brood bitches that I am going to retire from breeding. If the perfect home came up for either of these girls I would consider placing them. However I feel a deep personal attachment to both these girls so the home would have to indeed be perfect. But if you think you are a perfect home for one of these very sweet 7 year old girls; we can talk. | |||||||||||||||
